My sister, who is working in Makati, and her officemates - were told to go home after lunch today. The same scenario in our company, when they issued an announcement that employees can go by three pm.

The only good thing about this is that I will be spending less time in the office, but as news started spreading around how this one super typhoon can wreak damage of such magnitude. The two passengers beside me earlier going to Robinson's Galleria has been talking about that Signal #4 had been raised in one of the Bicol provinces ( I can't remember which) and how the whole archipelago is covered by storm clouds based on the satellite photo of PAG-ASA.



Our company's announcement earlier also stated that there might be no operations tomorrow depending on the magnitude of Yoyong's damage tonight, when the typhoon is expected to hit Metro Manila.

I would have wanted to skip Friday's work so that I can look forward to a long weekend, without taking a leave. Today's event would have been perfect, but deep inside I'd rather be bored at the office tomorrow than the thought of resting comfortably at home while other people who will be affected (let's hope not) are going in dire straights because of Yoyong's damage.

I appeal to everyone to please, please pray that Yoyong's damages wouldn't be of such magtitude, and for lives would be spared especially our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
